Architectural Specifications

Framed design closet doors shall be American Mirror Door® Contempra™ Fold-A-Way™ consisting of a pair of steel framed door panels joined at the top and bottom by hinges of concealed design that prevents over closing of the door.

The framed design stiles are attached to the panel with a gasket or tape. The rails shall provide a mechanical fitting at the top and bottom.

Each corner shall have one corner block fastened to both stiles and rails by means of three screws. Corner blocks shall have two cavities to accept either self-contained spring-loaded guides and top pivot or vertically adjustable bottom pivot.

Snuggers, which are retained in the top and bottom tracks, snug the door when it is fully closed. The lower pivot is vertically adjustable over a range of 7/8" (22mm) by means of a nut, which turns on a threaded bolt in the body of the pivot and engages a horizontally adjustable pivot bracket retained in the top track.

The top and bottom track shall be prefinished steel. Both tracks shall match the stile and rail. A metal pull attached to the stile of the jamb door is used to operate the door. The pull finish shall match the stile, rails and tracks.

The stiles, rails, handle, and tracks shall have a baked enamel paint finish in Champagne Gold, Mayan Gold, Bright White, Matte Black, Pewter, Architectural Brown or Almond finish.

Mirror shall be 1/8"(3mm) thick using Mirror Quality Glass conforming to ASTM C1048, Type 1-clear, Quality q2-mirror. Safety Web backing shall conform to Category 2 impact test. Approved for walk-in closet applications. Meeting the requirements of CPSC-16CFR1201 with ANSI Z97.1 test procedures.
