Fold-A-Way Installation Instructions
Step 1: Check Materials:
- Remove all components from packing carton, using extreme caution when handling mirror panels. Do not lift door sections by door trim.
- Measure door opening. It must be within 1/4" of specified width.
- Each door is shipped with one long track 4', 5' or 6' long. For four-panel openings use track as provided. For two-panel openings 24", 30" or 36", cut track in half, using one half for floor track and one for header track.
- Find eight spring-loaded pivot/guides (four for openings 3' and under): two threaded on one end, and six unthreaded.
Step 2: Install tracks.
- For openings 3' and under, make sure pivots in tracks are both on the side you want the door to pivot from.
- Use #8 pan head screws to secure the top guide track to the inside of the closet opening, parallel to front edge and approximately 1" back. Make sure to leave at least 1-1/2" clearance between the track and any obstructions inside closet.
- Use #8 pan head screws to secure bottom track parallel and plumb with upper track.
Step 4: Install door in tracks.
- Lift the door with the threaded pivot side in your left hand.
- Insert the smooth upper pivot on that side into the pivot bracket in the upper track.
- Seat bottom threaded pivot into bottom pivot bracket.
- Locate traveling wheels inside top and bottom tracks making sure to use the ones closest to the appropriate pivot bracket.
- Insert guide on top of traveling panel into traveling wheel by depressing with finger tip, aligning and releasing. Using a Straight blade screw driver snap the guide pin into the socket in the guide wheel.
- Repeat procedure for lower guide.
Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for remaining door.
(openings 4' and over), but install threaded pivot in opposite lower corner.
Step 6: Center doors in opening.
- * Use small end of wrench (provided) to loosen top and bottom pivot bracket screws to slide pivot brackets and door back and forth within tracks. Allow 1/4" minimum between closed door
Step 7: Level doors.
- *Use the large end of the wrench provided to turn the bottom (threaded) pivot to raise or lower doors.
Step 8: Install Pulls.
- * Using the dual face tape provided install pulls at desired height (aprox. 40" from floor) against inside door stile of pivot door.
