Architectural Specifications

Sliding closet doors shall be American Mirror Door® Vista™ Whisper Glide™ consisting of aluminum frameless design door panels and shall be supported by adjustable bottom rollers that travel in an aluminum bottom track and top guides that travel in an aluminum top track.

The frameless edgeguard stiles are bonded to the back of the polished pencil edged mirror. A protective edge is an integral part of the stile that protects the edge of the mirror without taking away from the aesthetics of the frameless look. The rails shall provide a mechanical fitting at the top and bottom.

The stiles and rails shall be joined at each corner by unhanded connectors mechanically fastened into position, are positively fastened, but can be removed for changing of mirror panels. Bottom connectors shall have either ball bearing rollers or solid acetal plain bearing wheels both with an integral anti-jump housing. Top connectors shall have a twin roller guide permanently attached to the connector housing which provides a snug fit with the top track. The guide will adjust to three different positions to ensure an optimum fit. Vertical adjustment is 1 1/8" (29mm) on the bottom and 1 1/4" (32mm) on the top.

The top track shall be one piece extruded aluminum. The bottom track shall be extruded aluminum and not exceed 5/16" (8 mm) from the floor. Both top track and bottom track finishes shall match the stile and rail.

The stile, rail, top track and bottom track shall have an anodized aluminum bright dipped finish Bright Gold, Bright Chrome and Brushed Nickel or baked enamel painted finish Bright White or Champagne Gold. The connectors shall be plated.

Mirror shall be 5/32"( 4mm) thick with polished pencil edges using Mirror Quality Glass conforming to ASTM C1048, Type 1-clear, Quality q2-mirror. Safety Web backing shall conform to Category 2 impact test. Approved for walk-in closet applications. Meeting the requirements of CPSC-16CFR1201 with ANSI Z97.1 test procedures.
