Whisper Glide Installation Instructions
Step 1: Remove top guide channel and lower floor track from box.
- Measure and cut to match opening width if necessary with fine-tooth hack saw. Slide standard 2 x 4 blocks into grooves in top guide channel (as shown) before cutting to prevent bending.
Step 2: Attach top track to top of closet opening.
- Align front of track 3/16" back from front of opening with long screws. Make sure to leave at least 3" between track and shelf, light or other obstruction.
Step 3: Attach flat lower track to floor.
- Attach floor track 1 1/8" back from front edge of opening with short screws.
(Note: For extremely thick carpet, install shim as shown.)
Step 4: Install and level door panels one at a time.
- Lift door panel with mirror facing you and slide upper guides into the back track in the top guide track. Lower bottom rollers into floor track, being careful not to scrape bottom of door on floor track.
CAUTION: Bottom rollers are adjusted all the way up for shipment.
They must be adjusted to your specific opening for door to work correctly.(see step 5).
- Repeat procedure for remaining door panel using front track, but only after adjusting lower roller. (For three-panel doors, install two doors in back track first and final door in front, center).
Step 5: Adjust bottom rollers.
- Turn adjusting screw counter-clockwise until top track guide enters upper track by at least 3/8".
- Be sure to snap anti-jump tabs on roller assembly into track.
- Repeat for second roller.
- Adjust both rollers to make the outside edge of door panel plumb with door jamb. For best appearance, keep gap between bottom of door and floor track to minimum.
- Return to Step 4 to install remaining door(s).
Step 6: Attach door pulls.
- Attach mirror pulls at desired height (aprox. 40" from floor) 3/4" in from edge of door panel.
